Mi 5 yet another flagship device from Xiaomi sports a 5.15 inch screen with a resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels. The display panel is extremely vivid with good amount of saturation, contrast ratio and hue. The display and the back panel is protected by a Corning Gorilla glass 4.
The device is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset and the 3/4 GB RAM ensures a smooth multitasking. It comes in three models, the standard model comes with a 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, a Prime Edition with a 3 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal memory and a Pro Edition with a 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. Unfortunately the users cannot expand the memory with the help of Micro-SD card as it doesn't have a memory card slot.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 runs on android ver. 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Xiaomi’s own custom design user interface MIUI 7. The Phone also supports OTG and NFC. Another plus for the device is that it has a 16 Megapixel camera with OIS (optical image stabilization) feature which works great for recording videos and taking pictures. But the disappointment is the front camera which is of only 4 Megapixel which is definitely not worth the price.
Talking about the sensors, the Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with Infrared sensor for IR blaster, fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and barometer. It does not have a FM radio which is another cons of the device. It is backed by a non-removable Li-Polymer 3000 mAh battery which can be charged to 80% in 30 min time as it has quick charge 3.0 feature.
